Spaghetti Squash Seeds

Large 30cm long, creamy yellow fruit producing amazing stringy-like tasty spaghetti. Very attractive in the garden and fantastic in the kitchen.

This very old heirloom dates back to 1850 and originating from China. This tasty squash was introduced to Japan in the 1930’s then took hold in California USA during the ‘natural food movement’ in the 1970’s.

Plant in a sunny position with well drained soil and a covering of mulch to produce best results.

Hint, avoid watering leaves directly to prevent mildew.

Health & Culinary Notes

• Bake whole squash then cut open and scrape flesh with a fork for a bowl of natures own spaghetti. Add a little butter and a sprinkle of pepper and your favourite salt! Divine!
• High in beta carotene and a good source of vitamin C, B6 and folic acid.
