Also known as ‘borecole’, this beautiful Italian curly variety of kale grows an abundance of dark, tasty, blistery leaves. May need protection from caterpillars in warmer weather, this stunning plant is an excellent hardy addition to the cool climate garden.
 

Health & Culinary Notes

• Pick delicious young leaves to eat raw, or add older leaves to soups, stews and quiches.
• Drizzle with a little olive oil, salt and a warm oven, to make ‘kale chips’ for a healthy snack.
• Extremely nutritious, an excellent source of beta carotene, calcium and vitamins E, C and K.
