This perennial French heirloom has long and tender dark green spears with purple tips. Known for its hardiness, excellent flavour and producing an early harvest.

Argenteuil is an ideal variety for creating white asparagus (Achieved by restricting the amount of sunlight the spears receive)

While it will take a couple of years to be able to get your first harvest (earlier than many other varieties) you can expect this tasty perennial to keep producing for up to 20 years!

Health & Culinary Notes

• Responds best to light cooking.
• Great for steaming or pan frying in a little butter and garlic.
• Used widely in Traditional French and European cooking where the white blanched stems are preferred.
• High in folic acid, vitamin A and potassium.
