Purple Sprouting Broccoli Seeds

An English heirloom dating as far back as the 1700’s. Rather than producing a single large head, this this variety will produce an abundant amount of smaller purple heads and side shoots over an extended period.

Extremely hardy and cold/frost tolerant, Purple Sprouting broccoli is often sown from late summer to early autumn and allowed to ‘overwinter’ and harvest in spring.

Protect from territorial White Moth by using shade cloth, fake moths on sticks or wipe the small eggs off the underside of leaves every morning – this works like a charm.

Purple heads turn green upon cooking.
