Oxheart Red Tomato Seeds
This old fashioned indeterminate vine is a favourite. Heart shaped, solid tomato weighing up to 500 grams each. Plant in good quality soil and apply a general fertiliser once fruiting begins.
Mulch well to retain soil moisture. For best results grow seedlings in punnets or trays and plant out after last frost. Staking will be required.
Health & Culinary Notes
- Good flavour, holds together nicely when sliced for sandwiches and cooks well.
- Think pan fried with eggs or chunky pasta sauce.
- Excellent source of antioxidant lycopene as well as vitamins A and C.
