Producing medium sized roots with smooth skin, the ‘Cobham Improved’ variety is one of the sweetest available. For best results sow into well drained deeply dug soil. Compacted soil or soil with excess fertiliser can cause forking of the roots.
Cool climate gardeners – don’t be scared of planting parsnips, the cool weather and even frost can help improve flavour and sweetness.
Note: Parsnip Seeds don’t have a long shelf life, we recommend for best germination results that you do not store seed for any longer than 12 months.
