China Rose Radish Seeds

This old heirloom variety dating from the mid 17th century produces tasty long roots up to 15cm.  Roots are rose coloured on the outside and crisp white on the inside. Their appearance is often described as almost carrot-like while the flavour is clean and peppery.

For the best texture, pick roots when they are young to prevent woodiness.  Like all radishes, ‘China Rose’ responds very well to a good and consistent watering.

Leafy green tops are edible and can be used in stir fries, soups and stews.

Tip: Succession planting – Remember to sow a small batches of seeds regularly (every few weeks) for an ongoing supply.
